UK newspapers have been celebrating major anniversaries. They include The Observer, which was launched 225 years ago, and The Scotsman, which is embarking on a year of events to mark its 200th anniversary.
Other titles to reach landmarks are The Jewish Chronicle (175 years), East London Advertiser (150 years) and the pro-independence The National in Scotland, which is now two years old.
